- You are ordering directly from the artist! Me. So you have my signature on your portrait.
Why do you like to draw or paint portraits? What I like about portraits are the stories behind them. They are memories worth remembering. Recreating the birth of a child, the memory of a loving father, the beloved dog, the first car or home, the marriage proposal or the place a couple met, represents bringing memories to life and putting smiles in people’s faces. When someone tells me the story behind their portrait, that is what keeps me drawing and painting. I know how meaningful is for them.
How long will it take for my portrait to be ready? For drawings, it could be few days to a week. It all depends on the size and medium. For acrylic paintings, turn around 1 or 2 weeks after an order is placed. It all depends on the size and how many people are in the picture. For oils, it might take a little bit more since I have to wait until it dries. Before placing the order, I will let you know the estimated time. It also depends on how many commissions I am working on at the time you place the order. Please let me know by what day you need them.
What if I want to order a portrait that has more than 2 people on it? Yes, you can order a portrait with more than two people. For more than 2 subjects, 50% off each and every additional subject within the same painting.
Can I combine photos in one portrait? YES. If you want me to combine photos into one oil painting, we will.
Are this handmade portraits? YES. I draw them or paint them myself.
What type of files do you accept for the photographs? Prints or digital. I can accept photographs in a number of popular formats (.jpeg, .png, .gif, .bmp, .tiff).The artwork will depend on the quality of the picture you send. The better the quality of the image, the more detail the artwork will show. Try to pick the pictures with the best light.
How do I place an order? Email me and tell me what kind or portrait you want. Once we have agreed on medium, size, # of people and any add-ons, I send you an email invoice via Pay Pal and you pay for the portrait online. Once you have paid for the portrait, I start working on your portrait.
Do I need to put a deposit? YES. In order for me to start on your portrait, I request 50% deposit and at delivery the remaining 50%.
Do I need to pick it up the portrait or can you ship the portrait? You are welcome to pick up the artwork from the studio. But if you don’t live near the studio, I can ship artwork too. If you want the artwork to be shipped, please send me the complete address before placing the order so I can give you an estimate on shipping cost.
Can you ship portraits to everywhere in the USA and Canada? I can ship portraits to all the USA and Canada, but you are responsible for shipping cost and packaging and those must be paid ahead of time when placing the order.
Are the portraits frame? No. All portrait prices are for unframed work. I am not responsible for framing.
Do you do commissions for other portraits that are no human or animals? Yes, I do portraits of houses, cars, boats, etc. Send me the idea of your project and I will tell you if I can do it or not.
On what materials are oil and acrylic painted? Oil portrait paintings are done on white canvas. Pastel portrait paintings, charcoal portraits, colored pencil portraits are all done on paper. For all portrait drawings done on paper, you will need to frame them under glass.
Does the price include shipping or taxes? No. If you want the artwork to be shipped, let me know and I will give a quote for that. If you are in the state of Florida or I need to mail to and address in Florida, then you will need to pay sales taxes.
